Life and sufferring are an inseparable pair. To have lived is to have suffered. In a lot of cases the reason we suffer is because of our own incompetence, our own foolishness. Take for example, you did not study for a test. Despite having to sit for it tomorrow morning, you instead decided to spend your time engaging in degenerate behaviour e.g. gaming, watching porn, scrolling through TikTok. Is it really a surprise when you found out that you failed the exam?
As a result, you were scolded by your teachers and parents. The pain and suffering could have been totally avoided, had you actually studied. I assume that you dear reader are not a masochist, and would hence be very much concerned with suffering less.
So I do think that it is in your interest that you live your life in the most optimal way to minimise suffering. You may think to yourself: Where do I even start? But fret not, because me being the generous, charitable, paragon of virtue will come to your aid on this one.
Firstly, optimise your health. I believe this should be a no brainer. People don’t say “health is wealth” for no reason. Think about it, if a person lived his live merely eating fast food, snacks and all the unhealthy food stuff that you can conjure up in your mind, it is highly probalistic that he dies at the ripe age of 19. Say, that’s a rather exact number. Why? Because that in actual fact happened to a vlogger Sun Yixuan, who was a mukbang streamer (People who stream themselves eating large portions of food that are often unhealthy).

When optimising health, I like to separate it into 2 categories, nutrition and exercise. In terms of nutrition, never eat snacks, or fast foods of any kind. Stick to unprocessed foods to obtain your nutrition. You should also eat a fair share of carbs, protein, fats and fibre. There is a widespread myth that you should not eat fats at all because we always hear about how too much fats cause cardiovascular diseases like heart attacks. But we should nevertheless incorporate fat into our diet because it is essential to lead a healthy life. In terms of exercise, try to get some cardio in, preferably 30 minutes everyday.
Secondly, get your finances in order. It should be quite obvious that if you are struggling financially, your live won’t be a very pleasant one. One of the best ways to make money is entrepreneurship, where you run your own business to generate income from it. Ideally you should strive for financial freedom, where you have enough income to cover your living expenses.
Thirdly, optimise your fitness. If you regularly go to the gym and pack on muscle, you will naturally appear more toned and athletic which is important to gain the respect of others. You can also improve your attractiveness which can help in the attraction of a mate.
Bottom line: Be incompetent at your own peril, because the results won’t be pretty.
